The 90th Annual Meeting of the American Radium Society will be held at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel, California from May 3-7, 2008. The ARS Meeting is the world’s oldest multidisciplinary cancer conference and has a tradition of scientific excellence, collegiality, and a multidisciplinary scientific program. The meeting will blend outstanding scientific presentations, the annual Janeway Lecture, keynote addresses, panel discussion, and presentations of original scientific abstracts. The meeting also provides time for formal and informal scientific interchange. All of the scientific presentations will be held in a plenary room with no "break-out" sessions.
Abstracts will be submitted online with a deadline of November 9, 2007. We especially welcome the participation from those who are in training or have just completed residency or fellowship in any of the oncology disciplines.
ARS Young Oncologist Essay Awards and Travel Grants.
Trainees who submit a completed manuscript, dealing with subjects related to clinical, translational or basic research, by November 9, 2007, are eligible for the Young Oncologist’s Essay Awards. These awards provide an honorarium of $500 plus reimbursement up to $2000 for travel.
Young Oncologist Travel Grants of $1000 will also be available for outstanding abstracts that are reviewed favorably for presentation at the Annual Meeting. More information can be found online.
