ARS 94th ANNUAL MEETING

The 94th Annual Meeting of the American Radium Society will be held at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas from April 28-May 2, 2012. The ARS Meeting is the world’s oldest multidisciplinary cancer conference and has a tradition of scientific excellence, collegiality, and a multidisciplinary scientific program.

The theme for this year’s meeting will be Personalized Medicine in an Impersonal World
. The Scientific Program Committee, chaired by Dr. Andre Konski, is in the process of recruiting an extraordinary group of lecturers and panelists for the meeting.

(Seating for these courses will limited and at an additional cost.)

• Two Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) will be presented.
• The ARS will offer a Post Graduate Course on the Saturday preceding the meeting. Chaired by Dr. James Welsh of MD Anderson Cancer Center.
•  Meet the Professor luncheons will be offered.

WHERE?
Las Vegas, Nevada
Las Vegas is the largest city in the US state of Nevada. Nicknamed Sin City and the Entertainment Capital of the World, it is situated in the midst of the southern Nevada desert landscape. The city has giant mega-casino hotels, decorated with lavish care and attention to detail to create a fantasy-like atmosphere. The casinos often have names and themes that evoke romance, mystery, and far-away destinations. There is a ton to see, do and experience in Las Vegas.

The American Radium Society has made special arrangements with the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas to offer attendees discounted rates on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

There are two (2) ways to book a hotel reservation.

  RESIDENT RATE of $159 (a limited amount of rooms are available at this rate for residents on a first come, first serve basis)

• In the drop down menu select “I  have an access code”
  
• Enter the code “SARAD2A”
  
• Once the code is entered, you will be able to book from there.

Reservations can also be made by calling the hotel's main reservations line at 702–698–7100.

Inform the reservation's attendant that you have a GROUP CODE for booking.
ATTENDEE RATE: a group rate of $189 will be offered with the code SARAD2

RESIDENT RATE: a resident rate of $159 will be offered with the code SARAD2A (a limited amount of rooms are available at this rate for residents on a first come/first serve basis)

WHO?
The ARS meeting is open to ARS Members and Non-Members, specializing in the field of Oncology – Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Head and Neck Oncology, etc, as well as Industry Leaders.
